Since my last post there haven't been any further updates from my doctor. It's fine though, I'm not in a huge rush to be diagnosed with more conditions. My pain and fatigue are as they have always been.
I have been back at work full-time for a couple of weeks now and it's going well. I still have days where I feel so tired it's like I'm being pushed into the floor, but for the most part, I'm keeping things in check.
My haul of HRT patches arrived today which is a huge relief. It has always been a stress to order them every three months and have to worry about the supply problems, but now I have ALL THE PATCHES and it's a relief to not have to worry about getting them again for a while.
Earlier this week, my husband suggested going to our local pub for a boozy lunch today. One of the things that can be depressing about a chronic pain/fatigue condition is the forced hermitude. I enjoy being at home but I need a break from these walls sometimes.
It was nice to have a wee outing to look forward to all week and we always feel comfortable at our local.
It was really quiet when we got there. I finish work at 13:30 because I start really early, so we got there about an hour later.
We shared a bottle of prosecco and I also had a cheeky strawberry and lime gin or two. We had a really nice meal and just enjoyed being out and chatting about anything and everything.
As I don't get out much, I made a bit of effort with a purple lipstick and top, Bride of Frankenstein necklace and Stitched Up tights from the Snag Tights Hallowe'en range.
It's certainly not always easy living with chronic pain/fatigue but when they're being kept mostly in check, I'm so grateful for the respite and to enjoy little things like a trip to the pub with my husband and just enjoying being together. It really means everything.
