Introducing...Henning

As I mentioned in my introductory post, I decided to refer to my PVCS as Henning because I thought the play on Wehn/vein funny. Hey, whatever works...

Henning was found during my second Laparoscopy. PVCS (Pelvic Venous Congestion Syndrome) causes chronic pelvic pain and basically means dilation of the pelvic veins. It means that blood tends to pool in the tricky veins which then causes them to become enlarged and the fun ensues. My symptoms include severe pelvic pain (which is very similar to Endometriosis so who knows who is the culprit, maybe they tag team?) and a sciatic pain down my left leg. It can be so bad that I need a walking stick just to give me a bit more confidence that my leg isn't just going to take a break on me.

The Mirena Coil I had inserted for my Stabby McStabface symptoms is also supposed to help with Henning.

Flare-ups of this and my other conditions can be brought on by stress, or just feeling run down, or just whenever it feels like. I'm still trying to figure it all out myself.

In my next post I will recount my experiences with Flash (sweat) mob AKA Perimenopause!
