So, what is Phase 2? Nothing so dramatic as S.H.I.E.L.D using the Tesseract to make weapons.
This week was my second week of my phased return to work. Not too different from my previous week. I still had Tuesday and Thursday off, but I was at full-time hours the rest of the days.
It was fine. Still working on background stuff which I'm really grateful for because if I think too much about full duties I start to feel a bit overwhelmed.
I was definitely flagging halfway through the day today though so I was happy when I could log off and park my work head until Monday.
My lovely boss is on holiday at the moment but she still found the time to check in with me and ask how I was doing and just to let her know if I needed to extend my phased return at all. She's so kind.
At the moment, I'm managing. Next week will be a bit of a test as I only have Wednesday off and the following week it's back to full-time. It's a little bit scary but I've put a call in for when my boss is back to touch base because while I'm keen to get back into the full-time routine, I'm hoping we can agree to slowly introduce more duties.
I think there's a lot I'll need to refresh myself on. We're a fast moving department so I'm sure some processes will have changed or been replaced.
Team members have continued to be lovely and supportive and I really do appreciate it.
I'm trying to not get ahead of myself and just take it day as it comes, but my runaway brain has a habit of worrying about things in advance.
It helps to have something to look forward to this weekend. It's Adam Fest (my husband's birthday celebration)!
The weather is looking good so we're meeting our lovely friends at a local park for a boozy picnic!
I'm really looking forward to seeing people we haven't seen for a long time and getting some fresh air.
I haven't been in the outside place since I had my smear test weeks ago. I anticipate this being a far more pleasant experience!
Have a great weekend folks! Until my next post...
